Cricketers Dilemma – Resolve and Doggedness Part-2
“In the World Cup T20 the results of every match have miracles;
and lucky Indians are a part of such fun”
I will offer my and my families’ heartfelt thanks to the Indian and Pakistani cricket teams who, despite seemingly no competition, have made a miraculous comeback to prove their mettle. Although, Indian and Asian fans have not forgiven the International Cricket Teams (ICT) for their disloyalty in the World Cup, but the same fans have now placed their teams as a diamond in their crown.
Is India and Pakistan’s entry into the finals of the T20 World Cup (T2WC) a surprise or an effort?
Softly I say YES and loudly shout NO. Pakistan’s first attempt at bowling New Zealand to make a strong ticket to the final is a very good and dedicated contest but the victory of Indian cricket over World Champion Australia on 22 September 2007 in Durban was a miracle. How did each bowl change the Indian team’s standings heading into the T2WC final? Sehwag’s streak left everyone in India reeling but in the end it was his dedicated start that made all the difference in the final.
I thank Indians for:-
A consistency of straight bowling over the wicket that makes every batsman miss kissing his stumps;
Sreesanth’s good line and length has surpassed his fifteenth bowler against South Africa;
· Captain Dhoni’s unwavering faith in Joginder Sharma at the end; and
· Yuvi’s brilliant 70 run knock at a crucial time.
My readers will appreciate the failure of Australian internationals to qualify
the final was a miracle as the Indian teams are winning. At one point, when Hyden sent a loose delivery over the fence, it looked like Australia would qualify. Why has Australia lost its reputation for the efforts of indigenous groups? Australia, despite having a run rate of over 7.75 were always looking shaky on the field. What I hear is; India had not missed three chances to run out and dropped two valuable catches; the entire Aussie team could have been tied up in bundles very early.
Smith’s admission that he had lost the match that sent South Africa into the semi finals was met with great pain and regret. Although I have won the game, I want to bring out a few Indian players.
One; serious injury;
Two; falling of fish from time to time;
Three; the players were moving with the batsman moving instead of the ball;
Four; negative line and plate length except Rudhra;
Five; lack of desire to play wholeheartedly; and
Six; the fine tuning of the field provided a narrow margin that could be stopped.
Asian fans, with the exit of New Zealand and Australia, are happy, but the commercial market has tripled their sales. No one can predict the amount of concessional currency, which will exchange hands in India-Pakistan last time? Just imagine, it could be over a million or a trillion overnight. Every ball that was played after 10 minutes was clashed with rupees here and there. The role of the baiting market in planning and predicting the outcome of any game is so ambiguous that even baiters sometimes doubt their money. Big fish that work silently from the safe sky have big skins. The T2WC final on 24 September 2007 would have rocked the world of bait. The unexpected results of both parties indicate something fishy. I believe that it is not the big events that have changed that have changed the final path like fate or struggle to win.
If India is to win and any of them can read my article, the Indian players must:
1. move by the player and not after hitting the ball;
2. be active and warm instead of standing idly with folded arms;
3. do not drop fish;
4. en-cash every opportunity is over; and it can only be achieved if the Indian players practice enough to hit the stumps directly from anywhere in the round and to the stumps in the hands of the baler or the keeper from anywhere in the field;
5. Try to prevent any border crossing;
6. always setting the field on my Stand Line Back (SBL) method to stop throwing and miss fast deliveries;
A few tips for players that may be worth giving wherever they release. Like this T2WC
Game of Strokes (GOS), I believe my tips are hidden inside Rudhras balling spree against South Africa on 20 September 2007 and Sreesanth against Aussies on 22 September 2007. I make match results on my popular NANAS Tips schedule;
Don’t throw a full throw, send it temporarily unless you’re a straight shooter
Avoid bringing in leg wickets, thus, avoid spreading and extras
Don’t blow when angry otherwise wise it would have met with what Yuvi did against England and Broad against India;
Always try Mid Wicket
A direct shot to the designated area between the batsman and a good length; and
In the end a stroke of fate along with the opponents hiccough made our team undefeated. I believe if every player who follows the guide at NANAS, he will be proud of his team. Best wishes to India for V and Pakistan L. Readers’ comments are invited at [email protected], [email protected]
