Stonehenge – All Hail Great Stones!

Kathy and I reached the ground. He got into an English car on the wrong side and started driving “wrong” down the road. We were going to Avebury, a four-thousand-year-old stone circle shaped like a dragon across a square, a symbol of alchemy. The town of Avebury was actually surrounded by standing stones.

Everything was foggy and cold. Our first stop was on the other side of Silbury, called Earth Goddess energy. A group of goats started looking at us as we approached. I took out a bagel and fed them. They were gentle, even the ram. I knew I had done this before. The first thing people do when they see animals is to feed them.

We got to the Avebury pub and we didn’t have sixpence for a cup of coffee. In reality, we had no pound, we had no currency in a foreign country. We walked along the Avenue of the Stones. I kept repeating Mama, Mama for everything. The henge around Avebury is man-made. The henge revolves around two circular stones, male and female.

It seems that this trip will be a return for me to my old hometown. We are going back to the house of Mother god power. This theme is to help balance the energies of men and women within, and unite our earthly selves. We will be walking the paths that many ancient people have walked.

We returned to our B & B, the last available place in town at Heather’s house. I was so tired that I just lay down to sleep. I started to hear stones singing, the loud noise was going on. The sleep was as if I had slept all night. We left to go eat, and someone walks by the “cove.” Mary and Michael’s lines cross here. As we were crying near the rocks, I felt like I was walking into a fence. The mother stone is the root chakra and the father stone is the crown. I kept seeing the color red, even in the dark.

The stones were placed along the lines of the earth. The ley lines are like the meridians of our own bodies. They carry the “life force” on its way. Each stone acts as a conduit for the earth’s energies. We were told that someone sat on a rock, without asking permission, and was thrown out!

The Heathers house was 300 years old. The foundation of the house was “sarsen” stone from Avebury. “Stone cutters” took down many stones and used them to build the houses. One of them was removing pagan beliefs associated with stones. A Christian church was built very close to the squares to counter the influence of these ancient temples. When I got home I dreamed that Avebury was a fairyland.

Heathers house was so beautiful, it was like a fairytale house. He was born in the village and he was upset about it. He told us that sometimes on summer nights he would walk and look at the rocks and see naked people dancing, or drums beating, or bells ringing. “You say to yourself, do I see and hear this?” The local policeman laughed at her after the “dance session.” What were you doing during the dance? For the English breakfast they served us a special mushroom. We used to joke that they were “magic mushrooms.” We felt like we were living in Alice in Wonderlands house!

Before leaving Avebury we met the Druids. He told us that he would be at Stonehenge that night. We asked if we could join them, the answer was no. We left for Henge around 4pm. We asked the lady at the ticket office to give us a place to sit. They sent us to a 700 year old mansion with 22 rooms. It was a B & B and was supposed to be the former home of Ann Boleyn, one of Henry VIII’s wives.

We casually mentioned that we knew the Druids would be at Stonehenge that night. Before I knew it, we had time from 9 to 10 pm to have Stonehenge to ourselves after the Druids. When we got close to the henge, this afternoon, I just kept freezing. I call it “the chill of the truth.”

We arrived at 9 o’clock at night for the night full of stars, the Big Dipper, Orion et. al. There was no sun all day and not a single star last night, but tonight the sky was at its peak. The guard let us into the house and told us that he didn’t let us in because he had just laid a new floor. We found out later that the center is where all the magic happens. If there is frost around the stones, it will not stay in the center.

Kathy began lighting the “ritual fire,” the small candles and incense we had brought. He placed this on the first of the two fallen stones that faced the center. I had to walk the “stone road.” I walked slowly and caught each giant, but I asked permission first. As I started to walk I kept saying loudly, “Take the big stones!” I couldn’t believe that I was there, this great temple of the sun and the moon, the temple of the Earth of the stars and the Divine God. I walked the whole outer circle. I once swore I saw a man in a fog in the distance. It became a stone!

When I finished my journey, I returned to the two fallen stones. It was Kathy’s turn to walk outside. It was so dark, I began to feel my way over the two stones. As I made my way to the center, I hit a small fence. I fell into a rock and heard it crash, and the big rock moved to my left as I braced myself to keep from falling! I turned around and started walking back to another stone that had fallen. I asked myself, “What happened?” I turned and headed for the center. I kept asking myself what happened to the wall? Was it invisible? Where is that? I bent down and felt my way in the dark, I didn’t want to hit my chin again. I walked forward without hitting anything. I realized that I was standing on top of a stone in the inner courtyard.

I prayed my prayers of hope and thanksgiving, Our Father and Hail Mary. I also prayed the prayers that I say when I say my rosary. “I pray these prayers for world peace, human relations, peace on earth. I pray that the Spirit of Christ will be born in each of us and that our bodies will be filled with light. I pray that each and every one of the people on this earth will come to know, to use , and to be one with God’s Will and Power, God’s Love, Truth, Faith, Wisdom and Thought. To say my special prayers in the middle of Stonehenge was a wonderful gift.

Kathy returned, “Are you pregnant?” He turned on the flashlight and lo and behold I was in the middle. The fence was at best a foot and a half from the stone. I went through it and never caught it! I had to be there, I was invited! The only image that came out that night was the image of a fence standing next to my moving giant.

We walked to the other side of the outer courtyard and sat down to reflect. I felt as if the whole night sky filled my consciousness. It was like being empty, everything and nothing. I was immersed in the stars and everything. This was happening to me when I laid my head on Mother’s big stone in Avebury.

I looked up and saw a white arc above Stonehenge that night. It was like the white circle I saw in my dream about the rainbow in the US. In my dream I looked and saw a rainbow in the distance. The rainbow did not end but continued under the earth to form a circle. This rainbow was white in color. I realized that the earth’s rainbow is a complete circle, which makes sense and not just one part of the arc. Then in that dream I saw the end of the rainbow. I entered all forms and was awakened by the vibration of all forms of glory coursing through me. Here was a white arc, a white rainbow, above Stonehenge!

We were silent for a while. We heard music playing. I thought the invisible choir was there. I prayed to the angel of Stonehenge. I thanked the Goddess for being there. I thought about all my loved ones who were in the yard that night and I prayed for them all.

The fog began to creep in. As we drove back to the apartment building, I stuck my head out the car window to see. By the time we left Stonehenge it had disappeared into the mist. Avalon molds are coming…

Epilogue:

I later found another important piece of this gift. I realized that the stone that moved was a large stone that had been broken in half. That stone was on top of the altar that had fallen. When I moved to the middle I was standing on a stone that was bought!

I met Mary Hardy a few months later. I call him a witch. She is a dowser, Homeopathic Dr., and works with aromatherapy and Young Living Oils. He told me that Stonehenge was built after the sinking of Atlantis. People came in and changed the stones to help heal the source of the land. Maybe I was sent there to do that.

Stonehenge – All About Big Stones!

Welcome Big Rocks!

They have been standing all the time.

They become dry with age,

Like a man he rises and falls.

He gives us life.

They show respect to our Mother.

The temple of the sun and the moon,

Sit around, out in space.

Invisible to others,

For their greater meaning.

To know others,

Those who know their thoughts.

They sing in the sunshine,

And the fog of the grayest night.

They sing together,

Where God meets people.

He sings in silence,

When we fall down.

They stand as a memorial to all who have passed.
