The Father of Oleander Soup – Part 2 of the Oleander Series

In the original article “Surprising discovery in Turkey”, the first of the oleander stories, I described how Doctor HZ Ozelle discovered an age-old treatment for cancer and other diseases in rural Turkey in the early 1960s, and successfully cured it. thousands of patients over the past 40 years, Dr. Ozel filed a patent for the drug and it was entered into FDA trials. Unfortunately, after passing the first stage tests, the approved drug known as Anvirzel was weakened due to lack of funds (many consider the patent, based on an old drug and a plant known to be weak) and industrial disputes – it may be many years, if at all, to fight this promising cancer before it reaches the market as an FDA-approved drug.

The good news is that you don’t have to wait for an official prescription, because you can make oleander extract at home on your stovetop, based on Doctor Ozel’s original patent and a few prescriptions that have been used for thousands of years. . Oleander is a plant that grows naturally in the south and southwest of the United States and around the world, and if it doesn’t grow naturally near you, you can order oleander seeds from many online nurseries by mail order. (There are at least three other sources of this type of commercial supplement that I know of, but that will have to wait for the next part of this series.).

Yes, you can make your own oleander medicine, known as “oleander soup” at home as easily as a large pot of beans, and for this, you can thank the injury lawyer named Edward F. Hensley, from San. Antonio, Texas, whom I call the “Father of Oleander Soup”.

In 2002, Ed’s mother was diagnosed with liver and lung cancer, a small intestine, and a sister with Hepatitis-C. Ed’s sister, Catrina (Cat), started researching and talking to her friends to get answers from the doctor that Betty Hensley had only a few months to live. After talking to an old friend, he was told about a clinic in Honduras where he could meet and discuss a new cancer drug, which was being developed in San Antonio. Cat made several phone calls and found out who could order the medicine. It cost $1500.00 for a six week supply of something called Anvirzel(TM). Cat, Ed, and their brother John put up the initial investment and the drug was ordered.

Betty had seen an oncologist in San Antonio, who advised of the dangers of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and that as they progressed, they could have a chance to prolong her life, with a great chance of having a serious problem. its consequences, including destroying its security. Even so, he tried chemotherapy for several weeks, with no results. When Anvirzel(TM) arrived, he began injecting it with Cat’s help, following the instructions given by the Honduran doctor. After three weeks she went in for a new checkup with her oncologist. The new films showed tumors all over his lungs and his liver was shrinking. His doctor could not be directly involved in the injection, but he agreed to test the drug.

With six weeks to go, and Betty suffering from severe pain at the birth site, Ed began researching what the new drug was made of, what it would do temporarily, and how much it would cost. The FDA had a letter written on its website, warning about the drug, made from the oleander plant, saying that it has not been proven and should not be used. However, a hospital in Honduras was reporting successful cures for several types of cancer, including childhood brain cancer.

Ed was determined to find out what was in the drug, so he went to the US Patent Office website and searched using the word Anvirzel. After several searches, Ed obtained a patent. It was about 39 pages of legalese, written in the language of patent attorneys, who pay $400 an hour to write patents, that only lawyers and scientists would dare to read.

After a few weeks of short-term study, the patent began to make sense. It was just a messy, elaborate, and exaggerated way of making a soup from the leaves and stalks of the famous plant, oleander. No problem. Ed had huge oleander plants in his back yard, which were beautiful flowers all year round. Making the soup was as easy as getting a pan, some cutlery, an electric kettle, and a cooking surface. Ed’s wife, Carol, wouldn’t let him cook in her kitchen, so Ed was relegated to his outdoor storage room, a 10×18 shed for yard equipment and seasonal play equipment. After burning several pots of soup because the heat was too high, Ed turned the heat down, and boiled the water with pieces of oleander for four hours. Then they took out the leaves and stems, and filtered the remaining broth, using paper towels and plastic. According to Dr. Ozel in the patent, allowed the broth to cool before straining. The broth was then slowly boiled until about one-fifth of the original liquid remained at the bottom of the pot.

Ed measured the specific gravity with a cold resistance gauge, which shows the measurements slightly. That’s when Dr. Ozel recommended in the patent, almost as thick as chicken soup. Then, 10 feeder mice were bought and given the new liquid, which Ed called “oleander soup”, as their source of liquid for two weeks, and all the mouse food they could eat. The mice gained weight, they were kind of lazy, but they are still alive and looking good.

Ed’s mother was about to run out of Anvirzel at the time, so Ed took a bottle of the soup over to Betty’s house to compare it to her medicine. It looked the same. It tasted the same. The new sauce was fresh, not frozen and processed, and according to Betty, it tasted fresh. Ed went first and tried some, about a teaspoon. Betty then tried, taking a spoonful. He declared that he loved the new Bible, and it was. He took oral doses three times a day with food, with diarrhea as the only side effect, which stopped after a week.

Her tests three weeks later were amazing, showing the tumors were shrinking and almost gone. A month later, she had no lumps. Betty stopped taking the soup a month later, after her doctor told her she was cancer-free.

Sadly, about eight months later, feeling healthy and active, Betty knelt down on her bed to sleep, and felt her collarbone snap. Tests showed cancer in the bone, and it was aggressive. Her oncologist referred her to another doctor who prescribed a new chemotherapy regimen, and she was told not to go back to the oleander extract. In two months the chemo reduced the bone cancer, but it also damaged his kidneys. He died a month later from kidney failure, without taking another drop of oleander soup or Anvirzel, which had saved his life before. But she trusted her oncologist, who was very nice and very attractive. Fortunately, Betty lived to be 88 years old. He was a heavy smoker, two packs a day since his father Ed gave him the cigarette when he was 18. He died at the age of 61 from coronary artery disease, directly related to his heavy smoking.

Catrina was suffering from Hepatitis-C, a common cause of liver cancer. He started making his own oleander sauce and took it, hoping it would cure his problem. It did. Within two months, his hepatitis C was gone. His liver enzymes were normal. He did not return for two years. He shared this recipe with doctors from Mexico who are treating patients with AIDS, cancer, Hepatitis-c, and psoriasis. A friend says her arthritis symptoms have improved with home remedies. He laughs as he describes the scene in his kitchen, with a big pot of boiling vegetables, and two Mexican brothers, doctors, standing there writing notes on how to cook something that isn’t too complicated like “boracho beans” or chicken mole, a lovely couple. Mexican cuisine.

Later in 2003, Ed was surfing the Internet, looking for websites that mentioned “Anvirzel”. He found the Minnesota Wellness Directory site, and read their reviews about how good the prospects were for this new extract made from poisonous oleander leaves. Ed sent the recipient the instructions and a summary of his research. The host, David Bonello, after researching the concept and method of making the soup, including suggestions from herbalists and his medical friends, published the recipe on his website in his June 2003 newsletter, with warnings about its use.

Since 2003, many people have used the oleander soup recipe, including friends and family of Ed Hensley, David Bonello and the author. None of them have reported a serious problem and most of them have reported that their cancer and other problems have disappeared or improved significantly.
