Christiano Ronaldo To Real Madrid? No Chance!
There are many rumors about the future of Christiano Ronaldo recently. He is rumored to be heading to sunny Spain to join Spanish champions Real Madrid.
The rumors grew after Manchester United won the Chaalsea league in Moscow. Ronaldo has been told that he will not promise anyone about his future. He said he would not promise his mother, Sir Alex Ferguson or Manchester United fans.
I believe Christiano Ronaldo will be at Old Trafford next season and why? Manchester United are the champions of Europe and arguably the best team in the world. Why would he want to move to Real Madrid who fell when they faced Roma in the big league.
It’s the same Roma side who thrashed Manchester United seven goals to one at Old Trafford in 2007 and twice more in 2008.
Gone are the days when we believed that the only way to win continental laurels was to play for Real Madrid and AC Milan. Milan will not even play in the Uefa champions league next season after finishing 5th in the Italian league.
Back to Cristiano Ronaldo.
The only thing that could make Ronaldo leave Old Trafford this summer is if he has a world cup at Euro 2008 and the club come up with £100 million to tempt Manchester. No club can refuse an offer like this.
Other than that, I’m sure he’ll stay the Sir Matt Busby way.
Manchester United fans however know that Ronaldo will not play for them forever. He will still go to play in another country. He will probably play about 2 more seasons. This will take his years at Old Trafford to seven.
I’m not sure anyone can complain about the loyalty of a (foreign) player who served for seven years.
